Warm hearts warm heads!

With nearly 60,000 homeless people in Los Angeles County, according the Los Angeles Times, it is clear that much is needed. Although Los Angeles has a reputation for great weather all year long, it is a different story when most nights are spent sleeping on the streets. Our campers witness this issue on a daily basis and continue to express their concern. By collecting socks, scarves, gloves, and knit caps, we have the opportunity to assemble packs for people in true need. By crediting community service hours to students in need, we always have the staff needed to make this project a success. This program instills a sense of community service in young people that may not otherwise have the experience.
